Aubrienne Bergeron is a Portland, OR-based artist working in watercolor, ink and acrylic, exploring landscapes, dream space and personal symbolism through a fluid and intuitive painting style.
Bergeron draws inspiration from delicate materials and soft washes of color, allowing paint to move, choosing to keep strange variations and details the paint creates as she works. Her paintings are deeply influenced by nature living in the Pacific Northwest, ghosts and memories.
Her work has been featured in group shows and sold through online platforms Artsy and 1stDibs, with collectors internationally: New York, Berlin, Barcelona, Philadelphia and San Diego. Her current collection studies celestial objects, shared timelines and art as protective charms.

My practice has explored landscapes using light, color and atmosphere to create dream space or otherworld. Often inspired by my own dreams, travel, road trips out west and life in the Pacific Northwest, my paintings have always been intuitive and fluid.
My present work has been a meditation on art as a sort of charm, a talisman, a personal symbol imbued with intention, magic, a spell cast. The way you might place a small crystal on a windowsill, my grandmother’s rosary carried when I travel, a love note written in the back of a book, a necklace with a birth stone. This is often reflected in the smaller scale I create within, allowing a piece of art to be placed somewhere unexpected in one’s space.
My current collection, Celestial Objects, is inspired by my daughter’s fascination with planets and space and in turn our orbital placements and shared timeline together. I am layering and expanding through images from my dreams and personal symbols long held: moon phases, flowers, sacred gifts, birth dates and cosmic bodies. The work is astral and expansive as I continue to scale up onto larger canvas pieces this summer.
